No/Bad RP Reasons for killing

Could have just said something along the lines of "Excuse me!? I'm a dwarf..""Oh right I apologise sir" etc etc... Over something as hard to define as characteristics you should at least give the person insulting you some kind of chance to make up for their RP mistake. Otherwise I can see that being a common problem with any RP situation you come across (killing someone doesn't exactly prove you are a certain race), and surely you can only kill so many people for offending you before you are forced to make some change to the characteristics of your character?
