There has been a discussion over the use of brightness mods in the past and the use of them is not allowed.
The Minecraft control pack is also not in the list of allowed mods.

This is the allowed mods list. Only the mods stated here are allowed. Any other mods are illegal and may warrant a ban if discovered.
If you have a question about a certain mod that you are unsure of or wish to get an evaluation on PM me or any of the other moderators.
If the mod you wish us to evaluate is found to be allowed it will be added to the list, which makes it more important to pm us about it to avoid future bans or misconceptions.
