Junior grew quickly. As years passed, Guthrie Sr. quickly grew weak, an unfortunate side effect of his former corruption.
Junior grew to be a stout young dwarf, trained in sword fight and in smithing. After spending far too much time underground, even for a dwarf, Junior grew tired of the darkness. He spent his days above ground, playing with his wolf and tending the livestock. Guthrie occasionally took his new son to the Inn, teaching him in the ways of social and marketing arts.
Junior and Guthrie eventually began building the layout and founding structures of New Fortinbras.

Junior crept into the bedroom. Guthrie lay in bed weak, bones brittle, voice soft. Junior sat there, silent, knowing that death was imminent. After hours watching Guthrie sleep, Guthrie's faintly audible heartbeat slowed. Eventually, the room grew silent. Guthrie's heartbeat had stopped, the only sound left was the crackling of skeleton bones and the moaning of a lone zombie peering inside.
