As Guthrie was just about through the doorway, he heard a large scuffle outside. The sound of animals.

As he turned around, he was shocked to see a large pack of wolves walking toward him - just as panic was evoking in him, he noticed a small human baby crawling amongst them. The baby edged up to Guthrie's feet, and looked up with beautiful eyes at the man who would become his father.

Guthrie tried to tell the wolves that he could not care for the baby, but the wolves growled and barked. Finally, Guthrie was forced to pick up the child and bring him inside.

'What now?', he thought to himself. He looked closer at the baby and noticed a birthmark of a crown on his left buttcheek - though this was the sign of royalty in the land beyond the edge of the world, Guthrie had no way of knowing this. However, he took the mark as a good omen and was happy that he had decided to keep the child.
