RE: SETHD13'S NEW COMPUTER COMMISION
3750k is still better for future proofing, I regret getting an i7 2600 instead of an i7 2600k. Get the k.
Aso, remember that the performance depends almost entirely on what graphics card you get, whatever system you put it in, as long as it has at least decent specs, does not matter.
Finally, I can't seem to find any Arma 2 or 3 benchmarks with the graphics cards, but based on my performance with Arma 2, I would expect around ~15 - 20 fps in Arma 2 at max settings with the GTX 660 and ~30-40 fps at medium settings (That game is not very well optimized). The 660 ti should get a little better, maybe 5-10 fps at most, so not bad. I don't know what the 7870 GHz would get in that game, but I know that it's generally about as powerful as the 660ti so about the same performance as that would be a good bet. Also, because the 7870 GHz is $50 more than the 660ti, it is overpriced and should not be considered.
