RE: Question :
Interesting how you only put one specific party of people, and those who defend them reasonably, as players to blame. There are douchebags on multiple sides of any conflict, and to simply blame one is either ignorant or biased.

Considering we're (the people you've named) seeing blatantly insulting assumptions and personal attacks on our character even for such things as reasonable (and truthful) arguments and defences, I honestly cannot see a piece of unbiased, or fully-informed truth in your argument. Not everybody is a douche just because you don't like how they act.

The staff focuses on large problems yes, but, if you can't tough out, or even bear to see arguments (yes, sometimes the side you're on may actually be incorrect), or defend yourself IC (whether through RP, or resulting PvP) and continue to complain because you are either losing or sad/spiteful, why are you on an RP server and online community?

Nobody is asking you to have thick skin, but some skin would be nice.

RE: Question :
Did you ever stop to assume that it is you with the "thin" skin here. What if Cerce has only personally witnessed those listed as being douches because he hasn't been back for very long? Don't assume that we are all out to get you, when we aren't.

Follow your own advice before criticizing others.

(No hard feelings but neither of you seem unbiased to me. :/ )

RE: Question :
Hey Crash, not sure if you missed it, or Cerce edited his post, but he included himself on the list of players that act like douchebags sometimes. Its not like he was calling you all out or something

Who defines what is a good reason? If it is the mods, is that not imposing a set type of stereotypical roleplay on the majority, thereby restricting certain types of roleplay? If it is the populace, is that not posing the problem of having a minority group having their experience ruined to an extent? Isn't even RP-killing ruining someone's experience to an extent? What if their character truly is having a bad day, or just woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe even stubbed their toe and caused them to go into a bad mood and be a douche?

I probably said this wrong, your character can ofcourse have bad days. But that's for example not really a reason to go on a killing spree. And yes you could probably say you were rping as a serial killer but even serial killers don't go running around chopping everyone up they see without any form of motive. (I believe there's already a thread on this)
We have to draw a line somewhere.

As who decides whether you have a good reason or not, most cases are discussed thorougly by the admins and game mods before decisions are made.

Sorry if it felt like I was calling anyone out; it's just that, in all honesty, I can't exactly accuse MainDigger of being a douche. I have been, you have been - I'm not targeting anyone in specific. I was using examples of those that the majority (or at least loud minority) have had bad experiences with in the past. My apologies if I offended anyone.

*Walks into town, "Oh hey Rongour"said Marvin "What are you doing here?" replied Rongour "I was brought here by the ruler of the town" Marvin answered. "I don't trust you robot." Said Rongour aggressively. * Proceeds to explore town* * Rongour begins shooting arrows off the top of the castle at Marvin for no reason* *A while later I am pushed off the castle by unsaid mean person, I try to get back into the castle, Rongour doesn't open gates because I'm "not trustworthy"* Yeah Crash you rp like a douche and you're a douche in real life so there is no surprise Cerce had you on that list. If you don't like it stop being a douche.

RE: Question :
Perhaps it's not just a matter of in game douchery, but more so of OOC. I don't really hate anybody or anything out of character, and even in character I have nothing wrong with these characters, but the players behind them have said all kinda of things. I as a person honestly could care less what some guy across the country thinks about me, but their characters are clearly shaped after themselves, so stopping some of these "douchebag" events could be harder than just "be less a douche"..

RE: Question :
I'd just like to clarify: I do am not targeting anyone. All I'm saying is that, recently, public opinion towards a majority of those listed in my post was not exactly positive. Feel free to add Pavja to the list if you'd like, or put Gecko in NLewis's place - it doesn't matter. The fact of the matter is, we all act like douchebags - my question is why doesn't the administration step in and stop the douchebaggery, at least with a warning? Oftentimes they wait until a flame war starts to brew, and it is here when massive butthurt comes into play - when just five posts ago there could have been a mod that simply stated 'Don't be a douche. Thread locked.'
