Well that thread of this thread is over and i'd like people to look at original post. The rule should be amended or expunged all together because it is only used in certain cases. We need to stop holding the community to a double standard of "people we like or have no opinion of" to "People we don't like" . I also feel we should stop all the ban requests in threads.
It is not a players place to call for a player to be banned. Notifying a mod is enough. We DON'T need anymore 30 page flame wars.

The dublication thing was enough to be a perma on it's own. And I believe I've asked people to stop with ban requests somewhere on a thread because they only cause flame. Maybe this can be put in the rules as well.

I say do away with ban requests all together. Report something to a mod if you think it's a violation of the rules, and let them make a judgement or resolve the situation. Anything further is spiteful and just makes you look like a whiny bitch (excuse my accurate terminology).

Since the end of 2.0 even, some players seem to think they can blackmail people by 'bargaining for in game money, or their own gains' with supposedly rule-violating actions. If this doesn't work, they try to get people banned as a way to hurt them back.

Tell me where this mindset came from, please.

If we keep ban appeals to the viewing of only one mod via PM, there won't be very many prespectives in favor of the banned player. Abother idea is to keep the ban forums to only moderators while yhe banned player can only see their own post. If that were the case anyone else involved couldn't gain access.

That's brilliant, party, and if every mod did that, we'd be fine. I take it some mods don't, however, but if they're all up for it that can be our solution.

If every moderator has to be consulted for every ban, what is the point of making a ban appeal?
