I think moderators are mature enough to be trusted with the idenitity of players.
We could use somekind of permissions system to have people apply for there roleplay name in game.

Only problem being if you change the name, you can only see it in chat, and the name as the person you log in never changes. Or, you use that other plugin you gain the skin the other name etc. But if you change your name to a person that does not excist (Like andre ashdown) you would end up with the default steve skin and thus only having people wander around with the default skin.

Not sure, i would like to see Roleplay names. And they could most likely work using permission base. Specially now the moderator force has been expanded so much. But i can see why the potentional to grief might be more then the advantage of smoother RP.

You don't seem to understand the problem with completely changing your name. All ban/kick plugins will not work with your old name. You will lose any donor privileges or commands. Your name is like your identity in Minecraft. It's a terrible idea.

I agree with yotta the second plugin seems to change your actual name. That's a bad idea since it makes block-checking impossible. Still, perhaps the spout or chat name ones might be less dangerous

Oh my. The "Savages" don't seem to be very "Savage" anymore. Oh well. On topic I think if there was anyway i can message my peers in game I think it would be marvelous. Also would there be away to take of death messages? Identities are a bit valuable to some. Yes?
