I'll accept the fanbase (even though it's the fanbase of a show made for little girls and comparable to a Dora the Explorer cult) but I just don't get it personally.

Also, I believe what guthrie meant by the 'attention whore' comment is that a relatively large amount of bronies (seemingly) feel the need to show off their love of MLP and attach it to everything in their lives - regardless of the fact that it's just a TV show. I mean, we all like boobs, but we don't go and post BOOBS BOOBS BOOBS everywhere, make boob gifs (wait - we do), boob memes, or design custom colored boobs in which we use as a pony personification of ourselves. It's the line between liking something completely diverse, and being a fanatic about something (that to some) doesn't seem worth it. The inference is apparently there to make, however wrong it may be in some opinions.

People do that with shows like Doctor Who, but nobody gets mad at them. I see no difference.
