Depends if you mean the revamped seed or the revamped map with all of the old buildings there. I personally see a lot of people coming back just for that.
But also creates "problems" with people just being able to dig up their old stashes.

Don't get me wrong being able to explore the ruins of revamped again would be awesome, but it would also limit us with the fact that its really outdated by now and there's lots of stuff that wont generate unless we expand the border. And as far as I know the Revamped map is already large enough as it is.

I also wouldn't mind using a fresh map. Terrain has changed a lot since Revamped. Granted, if the 2.0 map were proposed, I would be unreasonably excited. But that's been chewed up by orcs or something.

Also, while I do think it would be cool to explore and dig up our old stuff from revamped, I agree that it would be better if you want the server to be anything more than a short nostalgia fest to start fresh because of the amount of changes to Minecraft since revamped started (Minecraft 1.2 if I remember correctly. Wow that was a long time ago!). I would be one of the irregular freaks though, so I think I would have more fun with the old revamped map.

The nostalgia is real though. It would be great if this happened man, not just because of the server and shit, but because we'll be able to have those amazing Kiwike skype calls again.

Short version: I have access to a high speed uplink at a friend's house so I'll be able to run a server off my own hardware. Yay, Swedish fiber. This means practically no running costs. So I don't have to worry about getting enough donations every month. Aw yis.
