Map update idea

Sounded to me as if he wanted it to stay there, alongside a possible new map, in which case I couldn't foresee anybody utilizing it leading it to become pointless.

I wouldn't mind a whole new restart myself.
Me and spam have alright been discussing our Ideas for the return of Nosaka (The fourth time ), and how it will be planned.
I'm all up for it, seeing as this map has become quite used, and almost all land that is inside the generated edges, or the part that has all the bonus features, has some sort of building somewhere on it in every location.
The only thing is, Wait until at-least 1.9, and if not wait a little longer to make sure that any more of Notch's surprise changes to the generation code will be included.

The point isnt to save it, its to have people slowly added to the new world, while Im sure most people will move there right away, some may not want to. Maybe you could start the world off at 3000x3000 and then after a month, completely take away the first world, then make the boundaries 5000x5000 or what ever. Its really to make the new world feel more welcoming to everyone..

And it wouldnt add much lag, Its just like when you log onto the game, or go through the nether portals, it has to render the land. The world is already there in the server, and all its doing is adding more space for people to walk around in.

I really want a reset and I like asdf's idea... you know... if it didn't include a fuckton of lag (you know it would), but can we please get the kiwike map for download. That way we can just walk around and adventure through a giant epic lonely map of awesome.

Yotta doesn't want to release that as it could then be used for other servers.
