Skote is right. A steady stream of unique events would be great.

I hate to say it, but I'm beginning to agree with Seth. Unbanning solitude would give us that stream of events that we need and give people a reason to get on the server.

I'm sure the solituders are within the 1% who would play on a dead server. Seems like a solid plan!

If done right, they could revive the server. What I mean by done right is not just randomly unbanning them and having it just be at that, but put something behind it that would give people a reason to interact with them. I don't exactly know what yet, but the more violence on a server like this, the more active it becomes.

RE: Vote of Non-Confidence
I highly doubt that un-banning Solitude would generate activity on the server. Now, someone might argue this by saying, "When solitude did that peace conference, there were 40 people online!". Well, that's true, but the only reason those 40 people were online was because the outcome effected them. For example, Solitude posed a threat to pretty much all of the nations at one point or another, and the majority of the server lived in said nations. Since the people played a few times a week, they were curious as to how the meeting would end up because it directly affected how they would be playing in the near future. Nowadays, no one really cares about what happens to their nations or other possessions. (no offense yotta) So after un-banning Solitude 3 things might happen. (1) They come on, rape and pillage and have a really good time tearing everyone's abandoned stuff asunder. (2) They come on, do some looting, get bored, and leave. (3) They don't come on at all. They might say to one another that its clear that no one is going to get on to oppose them, and what fun is conquering the world if they just hand you the scepter? Or rather, find the scepter in a dusty corner and pick it up themselves. Bringing back Solitude would definitely not effect the log on rate. I'm sure Solitude will have a chance to play on the new server, whether or not they go and get themselves banned again is up to them.

RE: Vote of Non-Confidence
(1) Would occur Due to the fact they do listen to some people such as crash and myself were the only ones who seemed to have any sort of peace to occur. It could work if they were had to be kept under control by a friend. Trying to not make them sound like dogs and myself the hound master but lets say they come back give them time to build up some new big town. Everyone may want to come back on just to seek some revenge on them and they will have fun with the new town? ((Anyone can reword what I just said to make it sound like an actual plan))

RE: Vote of Non-Confidence
How do you know those 3 things and only those 3 things might happen? Stop setting imaginary rules, they could do none of those things.
You also can't say for sure that bringing back solitude would not affect the log in rate. Not to mention the fact that you would have them online so I can say for sure that it WOULD affect the log in rate.
