Perhaps if there was a way to actually conquer enemy towns you were officially (like, plug-in oriented) at war with then this could be implemented between warring towns. Otherwise, I feel this makes all towns /too/ vulnerable.

Like say, I declared war on Andy's town. He'd have to accept the declaration of war and choose to fight my town head on. Upon having this confirmed on the forums, yotta could give the opposite towns the slow-block-breaking permissions in enemy towns in order to work toward some (to be decided) way to conquer the other town.

While this would still give the option to stay fully protected from raids upon refusing, those who are actually interested in PvP can have opportunities to fight for towns and wager on big scales.

I actually like this idea. If you want to PvP, you are most welcome to. You wouldn't even have to have Yotta do it himself, just have a code that does it when the declaration of war was accepted. This leads to another idea of mine that I will post in the suggestions soon.

As for those like me, I can hide in my town being butthurt (Which I would not do all the time), or until I had reasonable armor for such a fight. Bravo Mr. Lander.

I don't like the part where both sides have to agree to go to war. That's not how war works and I think very few people would end up accepting a war request. I think something like you can declare war on another town and then there's a 24 hour period where the other town is notified that you will be attacked. 24 hours after the declaration the protection would get "weaker" and they would be able to attack. Or something.

I think this would be the best way to go about it.

If we're going off of the way that war actually works, then the attackers should be able to lay siege to the town if there's no mutual declaration, slowly weakening them as they lay siege.
And by lay siege, I mean camp outside their walls.

Uh... how would that work from a technical standpoint though?

great idea Godfrey, i think the more people you have inside the enemies land, the weaker the protection is, not specifically time, not all of us have several hours to sit outside some town. EWBTE
