RE: Religion
What is your view on those who do not believe in God? What is in store for them? Are they basically screwed for eternity?

RE: Religion
Also I'm too lazy to include a long explanation about tests of faith and why miracles don't happen then.
And gecko, yes. It isn't very much to ask that someone believe in God, and do what the Guy who made you tells you to do.
It's like turning against your parents because they ask you to obey house rules, and wondering why you got spanked and now sit in time out.
"One can concentrate so closely on the words of a sentence that one thereby misses the meaning. As can happen in any area of life. You must never lose focus on the larger landscape."

Its hard to obey these "house rules" if you dont believe fairy-tales.

My asthma went away and nobody asked God to intervene, what about non-Christians whose illnesses go away, surely they didn't pray to God in which they do not believe. What causes non-believers to get better?

What about people who have never heard of God?

If you're going to reply to someone with a post that can be paraphrased as "God is fake, hurr durr!" perhaps you should not bother replying at all.

RE: Religion
Tehc, I'm not refferring to common occurrences. You grew out of asthma. I'm talking about when the youth leader, not the pastor, get's on stage in the middle of Praise and Worship to say: "Someone in this room has asthma. Take a deep breath. You are free." I'm talking about my aunt, skeptical that she was, appear in Church to laugh at the idiocy of us rambling Pentacostals, and in the middle of an argument with my Grandma about God, she just hits the floor, and stays there for a good half hour. She got up, was weaping more than I've ever seen someone weap, gave her life to God, and was cured of cancer. I could go on and on.
And for those that never heard of God, go back to my Romans quote earlier. There is evidence all around them that pushes them to search for Christ. As for those such as the native Americans that never heard of God untill around the 1700's, they still sinned, reguardless of their relationship with God. If you didn't know someone, and they started cussing your girlfriend out, you'd be just as mad as yo uwould if yoru brother did the same thing.

God revealed himself to Abraham and Moses instead of letting them be pushed to search for him. Don't you think everyone else in the world deserves the same courtesy before judging them by standards they have never heard of?

RE: Religion
I have an arthritis like disease, just because people pray for me does not mean its going away. That is the biggest BS out there. Next you are going to be agreeing with Bachmann and saying that the reason there was a hurricane was because of how the government is going right now.
“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.”
–Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, speaking at a Sunday afternoon campaign rally in Sarasota.
