Kiwiships for sponsors only?

So a few people said Android said that Kiwiships would be for Sponsors only. Now me being a donor, am a little mad about that. Even other players who havnt donated, who have spent a lot of time preparing for this would be ruined. Many people cant donate, not because they dont want to but because theyr parents wont let them or they dont have any money. I payed for Magic Carpet, and since that isnt going to be put back on, Kiwiships is the next best thing. So, just curious to see what everyone has to say about this.

REMEMBER! This is mearly a rumor that I heard from a few people who said Android said this. SO! Dont start raging yet as it isnt even conformed!!

I'm in the group of can't really donate $30, I mean god. This isn't fair, as asdf said... Even if I still had mod powers and had this for free I would still make a big deal out of it.

Free users deserve stuff too, I know we have enough $$$$$ to last us if my calculations are correct.
If I can't fly a ship I'll probably just stop playing wouldn't be fun if all my friends could do it.

Android said it and yes, that is the case. We decided to do this because ships do lag the server. That is a fact, and you can't deny it. We want to cut down on the amount of ships moving around to reduce the lag. So we decided to make it a sponsor only feature.

Now, only sponsors can create and be a captain of ships, but everyone can control it.

The point is that you can be hired to control a sponsor's ship, not that they can make the ship for you.

We don't want people making their ship, then leaving it in the air when they log of, never to return. With the case of a lot of newer players, that's exactly what will happen.

That's a no go for free players then.

What we may be willing to do is allow any donor to use create KiwiShips, but their license will cost a decent amount of Gold. We would like to see more than one ship flying around at a time, that's for sure.

Or you can fork over $30 and get yourself one, and help the server at the same time EWBTE
