RE: Dwarf Fortress Succession Game!
Ok, starters guide to being pro at this game: Embark, and do absolutely nothing to your dwarves or to your starting stocks. They start with what they need, and they are set up to have some balance of skill levels, and will have whatever skills you'll need to get going. Step two, chop some trees, and have some dwarves mine out a nice little hole in the nearest mountain face, preferably 3-5 blocks wide. This way you can build a trade depot within your fortress and still have a straight, paved road so wagons can make it into the tunnel. The way I've set up the trade depot is unconventional, but it will work extremely well after the walls surrounding it are done.

Which brings me to my next statement, trade can be completely useless at times. It's true. A lot of the time, all they have to offer that's useful is extra food. As you saw in my run as ruler of the fortress, I did absolutely nothing for trade, and my dwarves are still really happy and up to their mustaches in prepared meals and dwarven wine. But that's because I have prepared meals set up to be made all the time, along with wine to be made and plants to be gathered so both can happen constantly.

Which brings me to my final point, I need a new ruler for the fortress, as I want to keep it as someone new every year. Would anyone like to play? If so, message me.

RE: Dwarf Fortress Succession Game!
The game sounds fantastic but the terrible graphics/interface ruin it for me.
