I just think it's pretty unnecessary to make such an awesome game with incredible programming behind it and then just cut down on the graphics to the level where it is hardly playable for apparently no reason. To a new player it looks like someone just shat random symbols on the screen.

Downloading Lazy Newb pack helps a lot with that Yotta, it farm from fixes everything, but certainly makes it better.
