I thought the instruments themselves sounded fairly obnoxious

I agree and I think that was on purpose. Mostly I was just blown away by the composition and their ability to run things into each-other so gracefully.

4/10 Was good for 20 seconds after fast forwarding 4 minutes due to incredibly slow intro, then it just became repetitive and annoying.
(It does not resemble that song at all by the way...)

3/10 I really hate almost any form of metal, but most people in Scandinavia like it so I can't say it's bad.
