Plug-in: Courier
I was looking around on the bukkit forums and found a great way to have messages fit better into the rp of the server http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/courier/ it even has he ability to set fees for sending letters and you can have multiple page letters. It can even have intervals so letters aren't received instantly and could take 1 or 2 minecraft days to reach a person(or maybe more)

RE: Plug-in: Courier
i support this idea, would be good to code it to work with our postbox system.

I thought we were including the writable books. This is superfluent.

RE: Plug-in: Courier
I admit it, it looks very cool. I'm going to look into the postbox code and see what I can do. I really should finish Territories though. Damng it.

Agreed - writable books would be a far better addition.

RE: Plug-in: Courier
In my opinion both would add a lot to rp. the fact it would take time for towns to be warned of incoming raids, the need for ooc wouldn't be there, books could be used to help learn about different nations (or lusty argonian maids) adding both would be highly beneficial plus if we could code it we could use the gold (if it costs any to send letters which can be decided) on server wide events

RE: Plug-in: Courier
I'm currently playing on another roleplaying server with far more plug-ins than Kiwike, with the books plug-in among them. There is some obvious lag, but nothing that renders the server unplayable (unless you are bent on being only a player vs player character). The books plug-in also adds great roleplaying experiences, and I have already seen instances where the dynamics of multiple story-lines can interact and be greatly enhanced with this plug-in. I highly advise implementing at least the books mod.
