Age One Raids
In no way do I want anyone to make the slightest reference to the current problems going on between Cora and the Northern Alliance. I will ignore the entire post if you do so. I'm sick and tired of flaming.

The current rules on raiding are very confusing, at least to me. I have no idea if, during age one, we are allowed to raid or wage war upon other colonies.

Could a game mod/admin explain the rules in further detail?

I want to know things including the following:
  • May I KoS if I was told to by a leader?
  • May I KoS someone who is backing up someone I'm attacking?
  • May I kill someone who hit me even if they had no valid reason to do so?
  • May we KoS on raids? What if we don't make our presence known?
  • May we even raid? Wage war on people living in certain areas?

I'll top this all off by saying that I will reply to absolutely nobody who accuses me of powergaming other than a game-mod/admin. The flaming has ruined how people are looking at me.

May I KoS if I was told to by a leader?

I think in the long run, we're going to get complaints by those who were killed saying that this person had no reason simply because they killed on sight. To avoid that, I would suggest you announce to this person that they have been ordered to death by your superior, and see how they take it. If they run after you out of pure fear, I would go ahead and take them out.

Perhaps something else to talk about here, is the legitimacy of your leader's command. By taking his order, you're assuming that he has genuine reasons for calling for their death, which I know hasn't really happened in the case of squiggley, who expressed his outright hate towards Bowser's 'small settlements w/o protection' through OOC. I'm sorry for relating back to it but it's relevant, and will need to be discussed in further detail with squiggley himself.

May I KoS someone who is backing up someone I'm attacking?

Assuming that you mean attacking you as well when you say 'backing up,' I'd say yes, considering this person is also making a lunge towards your life, and you're going to want to protect yourself. It'd make matters better if this person also stated their involvement in some form, i.e. "<name>! Are you ok? Let me help you exterminate that pesky raider."

May I kill someone who hit me even if they had no valid reason to do so?

Before jumping to kill this person, I would first act offended that they had the nerve to hit me. If we put this in relation to real life, and some stranger punched you, you would likely be upset with them. Taking this into account, ask them why they hit you and if things heat up, challenge them to a duel, Yu-gi-oh style.

If there was another situation where this person came up to you and started attacking you, as in meaning to take your life, I would first note who it was and how they refused to make any verbal contact with you, and then attempt to fight back.

May we KoS on raids? What if we don't make our presence known?

Naturally, an infiltration squad wouldn't want to make themselves known, so I think it'd be legitimate to keep quiet, although this also means that your communication with your team would be equally silent. Once someone spots you and marks your location or even attempts to contact you with a "Who's there?" I would say that it would be viable enough to speak with them, seeing as how there's no stealth to be covered anymore. With that statement however, it doesn't mean that you have to answer this person unless you're sure that they've spotted you.

May we even raid? Wage war on people living in certain areas?

Raiding is ok, although the staff is taking a position against the raids by supposed towns. Towns and nations do not exist, no matter how you define them, seeing as how in Kiwike, a town makes a town and a nation a nation if and only if they are being defined within the Territories plug in. That said, raiding with a small group of yours simply trying to gain resources is fine, so long as you follow the guidelines above.

War, similar to towns and nations, is clearly defined by our own custom plugin discerning an actual War which consists of a series of battles between two nations over the opposing nation's land. In this way, waging 'wars' right now is not valid seeing as how there are no real political parties fighting each other.

Thinking about it, the claim that Coras is a bad leader is not legitimate either, and I do not condone the use of that argument currently. It's to say that you guys are freedom fighters.

Hey um my leader put up a sign on the walls of his town saying that we will kill on sight you have been warned. Yet when ever he does kill someone they start whining that he had no reason even though there was a sign.

That's against rule 7.3 and your leader should be banned.

RE: Age One Raids
(I did not put those up) And, why would that be against the rules? Leaving signs on the wall telling trespassers they are trespassing and they will be killed if caught? They would have read those signs and knew not to come in.

What yotta is saying that If you have a sign in your town and people who go into the town are killed without reading the sign. I would post signs outside the walls and inform the trespasser they will be killed if they do not leave before KOSing.
If you post a sign inside your fortress and kill someone without them having the chance to know they are breaking your rules it is against 7.3

RE: Age One Raids
Nah, theyre on the gates, which SHOULD be the only entrances into town. Obviously people sneak through in tunnels but obviously if we found someone sneaking around building tunnels we'd kill em..
