RE: Sad News and things such as these.
I really honestly believe if we created a new map basically the same as 2.0, the server could thrive again. Theres a good reason it was popular. Get the support of the people, the little community that is left, and ADVERTISE, then we could certainly return back to a 2.0 state.

Make a whole new mcforums post and make it super pretty and nice, and keep that sheit well bumped, wether thats creating new accounts and posting in it or just bumping it ourselves.

I miss the way it played, and I know for a fact theres another server and community out there that was just like 2.0.

We just have to go back to towny and all that old stuff/updated stuff. Even though towny was annoying, it was part of what made the experience that, the way you played, the way things were made, the way things got expanded and created, it was just different from other things and made the server that much more fun to play because you had to work harder to get things how you wanted them too.

Tis a shame yotter wants to play steam instead Sad

minecraft will never die

Minecraft is still huge though, most people here just lost the interest to put effort into making something good.

Maybe it's because the good stuff has already been made and crowned. Personally, I still enjoy minecraft, but like Yotta (or someone else) said, it's hard to sit down and actually play these days because of how much has been put in over the past two years or so.

Yeah, I think they've added way too much. You just have to put too much of an effort in to get all of the good loot. In my opinion, they ruined the game. They're digging themselves a hole that they won't be able to tower out of, and as we all know, never dig straight down; you might hit lava.

I don't know what all of you guys are talking about, I still frequently sit down to play minecraft for hours after 2 1/2 years of it. Also, I personally love most of the things they have added. I don't see the minecraft community dying for at least another 3 - 4 years.

I've found that most of the people (most, not all) who still play singleplayer are either those who can't let it go or new people who just troll everyone.

RE: Sad News and things such as these.
I feel like you guys are just hating minecraft because Kiwike died...

The community as whole was pretty shitty, everyone hated each other. The staff didn't want to put in the effort anymore (staff, you can argue all you want, thats the truth though). The community was getting old anyway, a lot of the former major players have grown out of the stage where all they want to do is play some silly game, or just have better things to do.

You are all acting as if minecraft is terrible now and everythings going to die, honestly, its a great game still. I can play with 5-6 friends on a server and have a BLAST playing multiplayer. Getting resources, building forts, killing each other, working together, messing around. Its all fun, and the 2.0 experience can be replicated again.

Hell, I'm sure theres a server out there right now thats almost exactly what 2.0 was like.
