Nice. Im still 15, but they let me play anyway considering when my birthday is. And I joined the unit Gestiguiste, so I use a flail and tower sheild. Im making my own sword, so if that turns out well than Ill use it instead. But Im not sure Dagorhir would fit into LARP its like swordfighting mixed with rugby violence with a dash of roleplay on top. Most players consider it more of a full-contact medieval sport than a roleplaying game

Umm... I suppose if you were hitting someone from behind with a smashing weapon 3x followed by two arrows two hacking and a rock, then yes. It is that game.

Essentially they are real recurve bows, and the arrows are either aluminum or wood shafted, with the tip cut off and replaced by closed cell foam.

ya, i know the bows are normal, i just thought the arrows got a bulky foam tip.

Sounds like a medieval version of airsofting! Fun! I want to do this some time, but I'm not sure if there are any groups in the San Francisco Bay Area
