The absentee staff will still be making the calls - what they don't like to hear won't be acknowledged. Why should the staff that has contributed nothing in weeks still be given authority and voice over all that have been active? All of a sudden when their positions are in jeopardy they come online to give us all the answers and hear our pleas? Decisions may be made, and actions may be taken - but in the end we'll have the same moderators who do nothing but what they are forced to do.
That's exactly why we need a switch up - otherwise nothing will change. Honestly, the only one who should really be making decisions here is yottabyte - Droid, you've been almost as bad as most of the moderators in this case and need to let go of the patronizing approach.
The community's voice needs to be heard, not filtered or judged.

This is a new side to you Crash, and quite frankly, I agree with it.

In utter truth, this is an uncensored side. If the staff doesn't like what I'm saying they have the power to ban me, say I'm flaming, hang me by my fingernails, etc.. and go about in an ignorant fashion. This is a flashback to 2.0 where it was made bannable to criticize the staff.
Rule 1.1: Moderators are always right.
It has been proved that is not true, and we shouldn't be forced to act like it anymore.
Let me start a war? Everytime there was some fight war between solitude the server population was at its highest.... just don't ban me for fighting like everyone else? lol
Skote join me, I'm relatively alone, for seth has left and all our other members have nothing to do... cuz no war.. So join me and we can kill all the people and make the server active!

I never said a single thing about a problem with the meeting being public, nor with getting the community involved. I applaud both, but the current way it is being handled is hypocritical considering some of the topics. If we're talking about the staff, why should we ask the staff? If we're talking about the server's current state, why would we ask moderators who haven't played in months?
You missed the point of my statement entirely.

Yeah lets all start a non rp war because we can always make an excuse later.
We should not start a non-RP war. We should conduct server side RP to give reason for the existence of other nations. I'd personally recommend inviting Lewis and Pwol back, giving them back Solitude or building them an epic fortress of evil to operate out of with whoever wishes to play an evil soldier. Give them some RP length to work with, and let them raise hell.
Past the evil faction, there would continue to be the 'good' factions (nations) who may quarrel, ally, or babble amongst themselves all while fighting the evil faction.
I can't guarantee this to work, but it seems like a good way to start. We could advance lore as needed to move plot events along (perhaps the War plug-in would offer the opportunity to actually defeat the evil faction). Afterward, we can build more on the RP.
