RE: Vote of Non-Confidence
Droid has been a fine administrator. To say that removing the shiny "admin" label next to Droid's username would do anything to improve the server seems illogical. Kiwike requires radical, structural changes in the way it is managed, not changes in the people that manage it. Instead of removing droid we should look for ways the return Kiwike to the glory days back when Cornerstone and Flagstone were still running, Vesuvius (or whatever jyan's market town was) was under construction - Midgar wasn't quite Midgar yet but it was on its way there, the Roadbuilders had members, the Knights of Dusk were chilling underneath the international subway project. Around the time when Cencus was still populated but Vitellius was in planning, Mapleridge was still the funnest place to get to via Minecart, gecko's underwater city was an actual thing, the cakeroom in Mavenholm played the Legend of Zelda music, Hammerfall was a marvel of kiwikean engineering and trade was the true driver of server-interactions. Those were the days was Kiwike was Kiwike.
That was quite a bit of nostalgia but I think it needs bringing up. Droid was around then and was a fundamental part of the server, he's not the problem, the failure of the Revamped project is. Revive Kiwike 2.0 with a clean banlist, a fresh map and the same PVP with optional RP environment and this server might stand a chance - regardless of who is admin.

Now i'm curious to the exact identity of this person.
If you're Nostalgia is meant to all be at one lone date, then you are incorrect in multiple places. But, besides that.
2.0 was a high point of Kiwike. I was there for the beginning, and the end. I've seen what this server has done to destroy itself, hence, why I have little to no hope for it. But nobody can accuse me of not trying. Nearly two years on this server, and i've seen this happen what, two, three times now? Come the end of a map, a quick change of this, a few new staff members, and bang, the server is up and running again, fully populated. This has always been the quick fix for the Kiwike, how to fix the inactivity, how to get members more active.
But what have we amounted to?
Each time a new map was added, RP was slowly introduced. Each time, more and more RP. But that transition from 2.0, that one big leap, lost nearly all of Kiwike's old, true, players. If you have a truly unique, a truly different server, this is never a problem. And we could of had that, could of. Having the owner of the server know Java, and actually code plugins is probably one of the best thing that could happen to a server. That gave Kiwike that little boost from the typical MC server, to what it is. But it wasn't enough.
Yottabyte slowly let up, slowly let his job go, Android slowly let up, slowly let his job go.
I'm not saying that the two do not have free time to themselves. But isn't it sad when a huge portion of the server has more play hours than the two admins. Some players being banned for months now? There is a limit, that you have to dedicate to a server. They did not even reach the bare minimum for that limit. Some want to blame School, others have other reasons. But what about the summer, what about that day you had to yourself?
Yotta? Spent it playing DayZ with DjFuzz, another inactive staff member. Android most likely did have something going on in life, but he never tried hard enough.
Now, what is the whole point of this post? There is no point to change the server, no point to make another RP server. If the Admins are not willing to change. If they are not willing to step away from other things, and take a look at how their server is actually functioning, Kiwike will never succeed.
Will removing Android fix this problem? Most likely not. But what will? You tell me, Kiwike.

A community that doesn't give up. I may not be one to talk, but right now, you guys are all looking pretty hopeless. Sure, I left a long time ago, and haven't really been that active. Hell, I've found a new server to call home. I remember when Kiwike was home. Those were the good days. 2.0 was the good days.
Though, I'm not saying Revamped was bad. It was an attempt at something, and let's be honest, how well did it succeed? At times it had it's high's, but I've seen a lot of low's over browsing the forums everyday. Too many low's.
A lot of those low's are the communities fault as well. The sheer amount of flaming that has gone on between everyone was ridiculous. You should all be ashamed of that. This is Minecraft. A game. Is it really THAT serious that you need to start taking shots over a forum at each other? I mean cmon' guys, seriously?
So when all of you say that it's the staff's fault, or that Android isn't being a good admin, or whatever excuse you have the divert the blame, look at yourselves. Look at everything that you guys have done to drive people away. Look at all the things you have said to people over building blocks. Look at the community, and then look at the community we had back in Kiwike 2.0.
I'm not saying the blame is all on the community, but I'll be honest, I don't care how much shit I get for this. A lot of you guys are guilty for what's happened too.

I have to agree, we are responsible for a lot of shit on the server. I myself take a ton of that responsibility, I'm well aware i'm a dick to some people.
As for not blaming the Staff? That...
Not calling this server home, is a hard choice on my behalf. Two years on this server, and i'm not going to place all the blame on the community. Both Yottabyte and Android have let the server fall through their hands.

But does that mean that everyone here thinks the staff is literally doing nothing? Surely you must know about Gecko's RP venture and the 'Revamped turned 2.0' deal? Whether it looks like it or not, we haven't let go ourselves.
Also, @Crash, bvc was correct, I was merely posing a friendly question. That's twice you've misinterpreted my writing to have a condescending tone, maybe it'd be good of me to fix that.

You really aren't helping much Spam, seriously, say something constructive if you actually want to help, otherwise keep your posts out of this thread.

There is still a lot of work being done by the staff: I know I've been hard at work, and so have others. But, I'm very busy, Droid's very busy, and Yotta's likely busy as well (can't say for certain, I've been getting home after he's gone to bed). Blaming the staff is not going to fix things. In its core, Kiwike, along with almost every Minecraft server, is about one thing: Having fun. If you want the server to live, make some fun. Do something crazy or radical. Do anything (within the rules) that you want. We're all being too serious here. If you want Kiwike to live for a while, make some fun. I'll try to assist in the creation of such merriment when I can, but that'll be scarce until the latter parts of October. So yeah, go have fun, community. The staff will be here to attempt to enrich your fun, while also enforcing the rules

RE: Vote of Non-Confidence
Sorry but saying the staff aren't doing anything is just dumb of you. There is stuff going on, but progress is much slower than it was in the summer because we get to do approximately 30 minutes of idea throwing/discussing/chatting every night at most. Time zones, I'm telling you.
Also, spam pls gtfo.
